Doctoral Student in Physics

Dipartimento di Fisica "Enrico Fermi", Università di Pisa, Largo Bruno Pontecorvo, 3, 56127 Pisa, Italy

  • My research focused on developing nanoscale platforms to enable early product testing and to enhance the access to physiological and non-physiological intracellular processes at nanoscale

September 2021 - March 2023

Research Fellow

NEST, Istituto Nanoscienze-CNR and Scuola Normale Superiore, Piazza San Silvestro 12, Pisa, 56127, Italy

  • My research focused on the development of electrospun materials for coatings of optical fibers

Curricular training for master thesis preparation

September 2020 – May 2021

University of Pisa, Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering and in collaboration with the Department of Ricerca Traslazionale e delle Nuove Tecnologie in Medicina e Chirurgia of University of Pisa

  • Development of electrospun piezoeletric fibers
  • Morphological and surface characterization of fibers and meshes

Quality control engineer

October 2017 – April 2018

Mollificio Cappeller S.p.A., Via delle industrie 32, 36050 Cartigliano (VI), Italy

  • I worked on the quality management, from the raw materials to the final products (springs).

Waiter and kitchen assistant

January 2015 – January 2018

Ristorante Pizzeria Al Lauro, Via Lauro 23, 31011 Asolo (TV), Italy

Qualifications

Education

Master’s degree in Materials and Nanotechnology

2018 - 2021

University of Pisa, course of study in collaboration with the Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS) and the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT)

  • Thesis title: Electrospun piezoelectric fibers for application in cochlear devices
    Advisor: Dr. Ing. Serena Danti
Experimental research focused on the fabrication of piezoelectric fibers via electro-spinning. We produced aligned ultra-fine fibers, composite meshes and yarns for application in cochlear devices and evaluated the antifouling properties of filaments
  • Grade: 110/110 with honors

Bachelors’s degree in Chemical and materials engineering

2014 - 2018

University of Padova

  • Thesis title: Optimization of the process of stress relieving in a compression spring
Experimental thesis focused on the optimization of the heat treatment in the production of a compression spring. The experimental research was carried on in Mollificio Cappeller S.p.A.
  • Grade: 95/110

Other projects

TEDx Lungarno Mediceo

June 2023 - November 2023

ISPIRA project

January 2022 - June 2022

ISPIRA (Inclusiviness in Science, a Possibility for Identification and Representation) is a project with the aim of alleviating the problem of the shortage of women in STEM subjects. Promoted by Scuola Normale Superiore, we organized seminars to arouse interest in science in lower secondary school students.

Contamination Lab Pisa

January 2020 - June 2020

The course, promoted by University of Pisa, provided seminars about the development of a start up and a stimulating environment where we tried to develop an innovative project.

Quality assistant course

October 2017 – March 2018

Training provided by Regione Veneto and Equasoft s.r.l. on principles of quality management system.
